Delivery & Install Driver - Box Truck - Ricoh - 15-01833
POSITION PROFILE:
Responsible for the delivery, pick-up, relocation and installation of office equipment. Position requires basic operator training of the equipment delivered to the customer. Position requires federal DOT compliance. Meet all Delivery Safety Standards.
JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Meets appropriate productivity/quality standards relative to assigned job responsibility as outlined by manager.
Ensures equipment is configured to the Bill of Lading, traveler or other documentation provided.
Ensures equipment is properly loaded and secured in the boxed vantruck.
Delivers, pick-up and relocates equipment at customer site. May require large, complex machine installations
Ensures equipment is safely delivered to the correct location.
Conducts basic installation of equipment and provides basic key operation training at customer location as necessary
Help train new Delivery Drivers on new products & proper loading
Maintains log books in accordance with DOT regulations
Responsible for pre and post trip reviews and ensures that his/her vehicle van/truck is safe to operate and is compliant with all DOT and state laws
Follows all accident/incident reporting guidelines and procedures
Contacts the Dispatch and/or service department if technician is needed.
Requires basic knowledge of the equipment.
Operation and use of warehouse equipment, i.e., forklift, stair climber, pallet jack, is required.
Ensures all paperwork is signed and properly processed.
Loading/Off-loading trucks may apply.
Pre-calling customers when applicable.
Overnight stays may be required.
All positions could have an inventory value of up to $2,000,000. Limited scope of authority within pre-established specific policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Identifies customer's needs and determines appropriate action; refers calls to appropriate party.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
Typically Required:
High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
Eligibility to drive a commercial vehicle according to FMCSR regulations.
Minimum two years of medium-duty truck driving experience is required.
Maintains valid driver's license in accordance with company policy.
Valid commercial driver's license is required if applicable per state
Pass a road Test
Valid and current medical card is required
Be at least 20 years of age, properly licensed in his or her current state of residence.
Safe driving record and History
No more than 2 license suspensions (excluding non-moving violations) in the last 3 years
No more than 4 moving violations in the last 3 years
No more than 3 at fault accidents in the last 3 years
Ability to read maps
Overnight stays may be required based on DOT regulations or Peak Periods.
