The Rescue Mission is looking for a Full Time Case Manager to work with our adult program students on their journey towards self-sufficiency through Biblical counseling of accountability, mentoring, instruction, and coordination of services.
The Orange County Rescue Mission is a faith-based organization committed to serving the homeless population of Orange County, California.
Full Time Case Manager Job Duties are (but not limited to):
Assist students through biblical counseling, listening, prayer, and by helping them complete their Individualized Program Plan, which may include resolving scheduling, relational, and programmatic conflicts, family reunification, and parenting programs.
Help students identify goals and implement a plan to achieve them.
Become aware of students' gifts and talents, and encourage growth in various areas.
Teach new life skills and coping mechanisms to replace negative behavior with positive behavior.
Hold weekly group meetings to provide peer support and help students overcome life challenges.
Meet weekly with each assigned student to assess progress and provide case management counsel.
Adhere to all program criteria and use electronic reporting systems to track progress and plan deviations.
Fully participate in implementing program changes and directives from management.
Ensure quality and coordination of services, assess and monitor progress of individual students, address challenges, maintain record keeping, and conduct chart audits.
Minimum
Qualifications:
A personal relationship with Jesus, a good working knowledge of the Bible, and membership in a local, Bible-believing church, as well as a signed acknowledgment of the Statement of Faith Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work/counseling or ministry, and six months of related work experience.
An equivalency may be made with a combination of some education and more related work experience; please inquire if applicable.
Work experience sufficient to demonstrate the ability to hold students accountable for their individual program goals and elements Desire to work with men, women, and children in crisis Ability to discuss biblical topics while relating to the student cases assigned Hands-on computer knowledge, understanding, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), as well as Internet Explorer.
Working knowledge of case-management database/software is a plus.
Maintain first aid, CPR, and AED certification (not required upon hire) Maintain an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our insurance carrier, with less than 2 DMV points on driving record).
The schedule for this position is primarily Tuesday-Saturday, with three shifts from 8am-5pm and two evening shifts from 12pm-9pm.
However, it may require work beyond normal hours and on weekends/holidays, as typical operations run 24/7.
This position is planned for 40 hours/week, with a schedule that includes occasional holidays.
We realize that weekends and holidays occasionally hold important events for families, so occasional schedule changes may be requested and approved to accommodate pre-scheduled events.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
